It’s never too late to talk about Demel

If you ever go to Vienna, do visit Demel.

Let me put it this way, it’s like going to Rome and along the way you must also go to the Vatican. Otherwise, it would be illogical if you’ve been to Rome and did not go the Vatican.

Back to topic – Demel is, in my opinion one of the best pastry shops in Europe. I’ve been to fancy coffee shops in Europe but none really match up to Demel’s standard. Yes, it may be a little overpriced, especially if you buy their chocolates (they’re all downstairs, a lovely wide selection to choose from, to take back with you at home!)

But, the place is like an attraction in itself. It’s always busy, or at least, it happened to be so when I’ve visited. Still, it’s not overly crowded. One can still relax over tea or coffee and a delicious piece of cake to satisfy that sweet tooth!
